We provide intake sessions for adults (18+), which can be booked for in-person or virtual appointments. These sessions are the first step in understanding your needs and tailoring the right support for you.

We have a structured process to ensure the best care for children:

  • Parent-Only Intake Session: The first appointment is for parents only, allowing us to discuss concerns and gather important background information.
  • Child Session: During the second appointment, the child meets with the psychologist for their regular session. Appointments are available virtually (via a secure portal link), by phone, or in person.

We work with a variety of insurance providers, including:

  • Telus e-claims
  • GreatWest Life
  • Alberta Blue Cross
  • Canada Life
  • NIHB (Please confirm the full list when booking.)

We offer several convenient payment options:

  • We accept payments through various insurance providers, including Manulife, Alberta Blue Cross, Green Shield, and NIHB.
  • E-transfer to kayla@lucas-psych.com

Yes, we offer sliding scale fees for eligible clients. To qualify, proof of income from the previous year is required. Please note that there is currently a waitlist for this option.

We understand that life happens. There is no charge for cancellations due to unexpected illness or bereavement.

Yes, all legal guardians must provide informed consent before we can begin treatment for minors.

Absolutely! We offer virtual appointments via a secure portal link, as well as the option to connect by phone or in person—whatever works best for you.

Effective January 1, 2025, and in alignment with the recommendation from the Psychologists Association of Alberta, the fee for therapeutic services is $235 per session.

The building lobby doors will be locked after 4:30 PM on weekdays and remain locked throughout the weekend. If you arrive early or encounter locked doors, please text us to let us know you’ve arrived. Once you enter the building, you can take the elevator to the second floor and turn left, or use the stairs and turn right when you reach the second floor. You are welcome to wait in the designated waiting room or lobby until your appointment begins.
